Thomas Thompson finished his career as one of the most decorated Lincoln track and field athletes, earning all-American status 21 times over the course of his four-year career. He was a five-time NCAA National Champion, capturing the outdoor high jump title in 1997 and 1998; the outdoor triple jump title in 1998 and 1999 and the indoor triple jump title in 1998.. He is Lincoln's outdoor record holder for all three jumping event (long jump, high jump, triple jump) and is also holds the lions' indoor record for the high jump. Thompson is one of only ten athletes in Division III history to earn All-American honors all four years in the same event, both indoor and outdoor and one of only three to accomplish this feat in the high jump. Thompson also was a four-time all-American in the long jump, twice indoor and twice outdoor.  He also earned all-American status as part of Lincoln's 4x100 relay teams from 1996-1998.
