Lincoln University Athletic Hall of Fame
The Lincoln University Athletic Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization designed to promote and support the athletic program at Lincoln University. The Athletic Hall of Fame will highlight the University's contributions to sports history. The ultimate purpose of the Lincoln University Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor excellence of those individuals who generate greater visibility for the University and its academic and athletic programs.
Hall of Fame History
The Lincoln University Athletic Hall of Fame inducted its inaugural class on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. Hall of Fame inductions were slated to be an annual event held in conjunction with either the football or basketball season. The Class of 2012 were honored during halftime of the Lincoln vs. Johnson C. Smith University football game. The Class of 2013 were honored on Friday, September 27 with an induction ceremony and also at the Lincoln vs. Livingstone football game on September 28. In 2018 the Hall of Fame induction ceremony was moved to be held in conjunction with Reunion Weekend, usually held on the first weekend in May.
Class of 2020
The seventh Hall of Fame Class was inducted virtually via video. Four new members were inducted bringing the total number of Hall of Fame honorees to 46 since the inaugural class was inducted in 2012. In addition, a fourth championship team was inducted into the hollowed grounds.
