Charlotte, NC- September 14, 2024 - The Lincoln University (PA) Football team fell short in their trip to Charlotte where they faced Johnson C. Smith University, the final score for the game stood at 6-52 after four quarters.
The Lions were unable to stop the attack from the Golden Bulls as Johnson C. Smith was able to get out early with a 0-17 score in the first quarter.
On defense the Lions were led by
Chamar Wade Jr (Trenton, N.J./Pennsbury High School). who had five tackles with four solo tackles and one assist, while
Ronald Thomas III (Englewood, N.J./Englewood High School) and
Khaleb McRae (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro High School) led the team in sacks with one.
On the offensive side of the ball, it was
Isaiah Freeman (Chester, Pa./STEM Academy High School) who stood out for the Lions as he threw for 118 yards on 19 attempts with only one interception and a rushing touchdown in the third quarter, while
Amir Gerald (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson High School) rushed for 54 yards on eight attempts.
The Lincoln University (PA.) football team will head to Raleigh, NC for their next game as they play another conference match up with Shaw University on September 21,2024 starting at 1 p.m.
