LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania men's basketball program landed a senior on his way out and a freshman on the way into the starting rotation to its collection of All-CIAA representatives as
Korey Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaSalle Academy) was selected to the All-CIAA Backcourt while
Freddie Young, Jr. (Ewing, N.J./Trenton Catholic) was voted onto the All-Rookie Team by the conference's Head Coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Williams, a senior point guard from Brooklyn, New York, and a transfer from Hostos Community College, finished the regular season ranked 26th in the NCAA and tops in the conference for both free throws made (142) and free throw percentage (81.6%).

The sharpshooter finished second in the CIAA for points (482). third for field goal percentage (44.2%) and points per game (17.2), fourth regarding three-pointers per game (2.14) and steals (46), plus fifth league-wide in steals per game (1.64), three-pointers (60) and field goals (140) while playing in all 28 games with 24 starts.

He Led the Lions in three-point percentage (38.7%), averaging 17.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.6Â steals a night to go along with picking up his first career block in the finale at Bowie State.

Among his most notable outings in 2022-23 was putting together a double-double of 26 points & a career-high ten rebounds in a win over Kutztown on November 12 as he had 12 games with 20 or more points while hitting the double-figure scoring mark in 24 matchups (85.7%).

Young, a freshman guard from Ewing, New Jersey, appeared in all 28 games with 19 nights in the starting five.

The Trenton Catholic High School alumni dropped 6.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists on average to go along with 22 steals, 11 three-pointers & five blocks plus a field goal percentage of 41.2%.

Williams and Young will lead the Lions into a battle for the CIAA Championship as the sixth seed on Wednesday morning when they face the 11th-seeded Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith at 10 a.m. inside CFG Bank Arena.
