Lincoln University Interim Head Men's Basketball Coach
Jason A. Armstrong has announced an addition to the 2022-23 schedule.
The Lions will travel to NCAA Division I Seton Hall on December 7, 2022. It will be the first game between the two teams as Lincoln will be traveling to the Big East conference school.
"I am excited for our program to have this opportunity to face off against Seton Hall University," said Armstrong. "Our program will gain great experience from playing against a Power 5 school in the Big East. I want to say thank you to Head Coach Shaneen Halloway and Seton Hall University for this game. I am also thankful to Coach Corey Lowery who brought me in as his Associate Head Coach and believed in me, over the last two years. I am thrilled about having the Lions challenge the Pirates for the first time in Lincoln University history. Not only is this a great opportunity for our young men, but for me it is like playing family.
"I am looking forward to witnessing a sea of orange and blue in the stands when we get to Jersey," Armstrong continued. "This will be a great test for our guys to go against some D1 talent."
Former Lincoln head men's basketball coach Corey Lowery is now an assistant coach with the Pirates under first-year head coach Shaheen Holloway.
Lincoln begins the season 7 p.m. November 11, hosting West Chester as part of the CIAA/PSAC Challenge. Â
