GREENWOOD, Ind. – For the third straight year, a Lincoln University student-athlete has earned academic honors from College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Fifth-year senior Bryanna Brown (New York, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) is the first Lincoln women's basketball player to be named CoSIDA Academic All-District. She follows in the footsteps of Tara O'Brien (2012, women's soccer), Cedar Davidson (2020, women's soccer) and Nazirah Purnell (2021) as academic honoree from CoSIDA.

Brown enters the final game of the regular season leading the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in scoring with 16.8 points per game. She is second in the CIAA in free throw shooting percentage (87.9 percent), while making a CIAA-best 109 free throws. Brown also leads the league with 2.4 three-pointers per game. On the season, she is averaging 5.4 rebounds with 45 assists and 34 steals.

She has led the Lions to the CIAA's Northern Division championship.

A finance major with a 3.95 grade point average, Brown earned the CIAA Lowe's Senior CLASS award last season. She is very involved in community service, individually or with her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta. She has participated in the Bethel Gospel Assembly Thanksgiving Food/Clothing Drive, Lincoln University campus cleanups, and the MLK Jr. Community Breakfast.

She has participated in DST winter clothing drives and a voting initiative. She also was inducted into Lincoln's inaugural Chi Alpha Sigma national scholar-athlete society class. Brown is also a two-time Church Mutual 'Protecting the Greater Good' honoree.

Brown advances to the national ballot, and the Academic All-America team will be announced on March 16.
