LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Feb. 14, 2026 – Lincoln University women's basketball recognized four seniors on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Manuel Rivero Hall, honoring Kaziah Akinniyi (Baltimore, Md./Poly), Alaila Walker (Kalamazoo, Mich./Central), Hunter Conway (Detroit, MI/Belleville HS), and Demaris Andrews (Bayonne, NJ/Hudson Catholic) for their commitment and impact on the program. The Lions closed the day with a strong second-half push but fell to Bluefield State, 96-73, in CIAA play.

Lincoln used Senior Day to celebrate a class that has helped shape the program's culture through leadership, resilience, and daily investment in their teammates. Akinniyi, Walker, Conway, and Andrews were recognized pregame alongside family and supporters, marking an important moment for a group that has represented Lincoln both on the court and across campus.

On the floor, the seniors helped spark Lincoln's best stretch late. Akinniyi finished with 15 points, adding five rebounds and a block, while Conway contributed 12 points and four assists. Walker added nine points and two assists, and Andrews posted four rebounds as Lincoln battled through four quarters.

Lincoln's offense found its rhythm after halftime, scoring 52 points in the second half after trailing 51-21 at the break. Serenity Burgess (Coatesville, PA) led the Lions with 20 points, shooting 9-for-14 from the field, as Lincoln continued to compete until the final horn.

Bluefield State was paced by Jhakia Gist (20 points) and Jasmine Jenkins (16 points) as the visitors built an early advantage and maintained control throughout.
