Lincoln University, Pa. The Lincoln University en's basketball team will play the second game of their four game homestand when they host Winston-Salem State University in a CIAA divisional crossover game on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

The Series:
The Lincoln-Winston Salem Series dates back to the 1945-46 season when WSSU was known as Winston Salem Teacher's College. Lincoln defeated Winston-Salem 55-30 on January 7, 1946 in the first game of the series and holds a 7-5 overall lead in games between the two schools, having won the first four games of the series from 1946-1951 and three additional contests when the series resumed in 2011. Lincoln lost their last game against the Rams, 64-56 in Winston Salem on December 16, 2017. The Lions last win came during the 2015-16 season.

Zahrion Blue (Princeton, N.J./Princeton) has recorded three-double-doubles on the season and is averaging 10.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. (second behind Williams) Â He also leads the team with 29 assists and 17 steals. His 49.4% shooting from the field is tops amongst LU players who have made three or more field goals per game.

Tamir Green (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution) is second on the team with 24 assists and 13 steals.Â
Jordan Camper (Chester, Pa./Chester) leads the team shooting 81.3% from the free throw line (26-32) and has a team-high 11 blocks on the season.

Last Time Out
Deaquan Williams (Camden, N.J./Camden) recorded his fourth double-double of the season as the Lincoln University men's basketball team overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat Johnson c. Smith University 66-62 in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener at Manuel Rivero Hall Thursday night.

Williams finished with a game high 21 points (10-17 FG) and pulled down 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.Â
Cameron Campbell (Fayetteville, N.C./Trinity Christian) added 15 points while
Tamir Green (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution) and Maurice waters chipped in nine and eight respectively. Green and Bernard
Lightsey led the team with four assists apiece.

Hitting the Century Mark
Lincoln scored 107 points against Central State on December 5. It was the Lions first 100-point game of their CIAA era.
  The game also marked the first time a Lions team has posted 100 or more points since scoring 106 on February 7, 2008 in an overtime loss to St. Paul's College.(108-106).
Seeing Double
Williams and Blue have each recorded multiple double-doubles on the season. Willaims notched his fourth double-double of the season in the Lions wlast game, a win over Johnson C. Smith ass he scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.  Against Holy Family,  he scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He also had 15 points and 17 rebounds at Millersville and turned in a 26-point,
10-rebound effort against Seton Hill

Blue notched his third double-double  of the season on November
27th against
USciences with 12 points and 11 rebounds. He also had 16 points and 10 rebounds vs.
Kutztown and a 14-point, 12-rebound effort at Shippensburg. The pair still have the most double-doubles
amongst all CIAA players.
Rookie of the Week Honors
Freshman Bernard
Lightsey was named the CIAA Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for his performance during Lincoln's two games during the week ending November 25, a win over nationally ranked
Kutztown and a loss to Seton Hill. Â
Lightsey scored a career-high 25 points in the win over
Kutztown and added 21 against Seton Hill to finish the week averaging 23.0 points per game.
Home Opener Win
Campbell's three point shot at the buzzer was the difference in the double overtime win over nationally ranked
Kutztown.   Campbell was one of five Lions to reach double figure scoring in the game. Bernard
Lightsey, in his first collegiate start, knocked down ten field goals (three three's) en route to a career-high 25 points. Campbell added 19 while
Zahrion Blue (Princeton, N.J./Princeton) recorded another double-double with 16 points and ten boards.Â
Maurice Waters (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution (Univ. District of Columbia)) (13 points) and
Jordan Camper (Chester, Pa./Chester) (11 points) rounded out the double figure scorers for Lincoln.
The Lions rallied from 12 points down with 2:48 left in regulation to tie the game and send it to overtime. The two teams remained tied after one overtime and in the second extra stanza appeared ready to go to a third after KU tied the game with 4.3 seconds left at 91-91. Campbell put that all to rest, sinking a long three-ball from the right side as the buzzer sounded.
A Division II program best:
Williams recorded a double-double in the Lions loss to Millersville with 15 points and 17 rebounds. His 17 rebounds are the most by a Lincoln player in the school's NCAA Division II era (2010- present). The most rebounds a single game throughout the history of the program was 31 set by George Turner in 1965 against Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (now known as
USciences)

Scouting the Rams
Winston-Salem State is currently 5-3 and has won their last three games, defeating Morris , Bluefield State and Piedmont International. WSSU's conference opener against Virginia Union scheduled for last Thursday was postponed due to weather conditions

Junior Robert Colon leads three WSSU players in averaging double figure scoring with 17.6 points per game. He also leads the team averaging 3.4 assists per game.

William Crandell is shooting 59.1% from the field and is averaging 15.9 points per game. He is second on the team in rebounding averaging 5.6 per game.

Jamel McAllister rounds out WSSU's double figure scorers, averaging 10.3 points per game. He leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.4 per game and is shooting 58.8% from the field

As a team, the Rams are averaging 78.1 points per game while giving up 73.4 points per game. WSSU is shooting 47.1% from the field, 33.3% from three point range and 70.0% from the free throw line through their first eight games.

The Rams' Last Game
William Crandell scored 22 points to lead Winston-Salem State to an 84-75 win over Morris College on December 3. Robert Colon and Jamel McAllister added 17 points apiece.

The Rams shot 51.6% from the field and outscored Morris 50-42 in the first half. Morris pulled within two points at 68-66 with eight minutes left and were within three with four minutes left before the Rams finished the game on a 12-6 run.
