Box Score The Lincoln University men's basketball team had their four-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as Lynn University rallied from a double digit deficit late in second half to defeat the Lions 64-62 in the opening game of Salem University's Manchin Classic in Salem, West Virginia.

The Lions fall to 5-3 with the loss while Lynn improves to 3-4.

Cameron Campbell (Fayetteville, N.C./Trinity Christian ) led the Lions with 14 points while
Elijah Bush (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore (Essex County CC)) chipped in ten. Five different LU players had six rebounds apiece to pace the team while
Gevon Arrington (Chesterfield, Va./Petersburg (Richard Bland)) led the team with three assists.Â
Jordan Camper (Chester, Pa./Chester) had three blocks on the afternoon.

Lynn's Randy Bell's (21 points, eight rebounds) basket with three seconds left proved to be the game winner as the Fighting Knights came back from ten points down with 4:18 left using a 16-4 run to pull out the win. Bell started the comeback with two free throws at the 4:18 mark and had 11 of the 16 points in the run while Michael Baez (14 points, seven rebounds) added four.

The Lions struggled offensively over the final four minutes, making just one field goal while committing four turnover and six fouls. Lynn had scored nine straight points to cut a 58-48 lead to 58-57 with 2:08 left before Campbell's basket put the Lions back up by three. A layup from Bell followed by a Bell steal and subsequent dunk by Baez with1:25 left gave Lynn their first lead of the half. A Fighting Knights' free throw made the score 62-60 before
Deaquan Williams (Camden, N.J./Camden) (9 points, six rebounds) tied the game with 18 second with a pair of free throws. Bell then put the game away with the layup with seconds to go.Â

The Lions used a 17-8 flourish over an eight minute span in the second half to turn a one-point lead into ten before the Fighting Knights began their comeback. A three-pointer from Campbell and two baskets from Camper made the score 48-40 before Lynn followed with an 8-4 spurt to close back within four at 52-48 at the 7:47 mark. Two free throws and a layup from Williams followed by two free throws from Bush gave Lincoln their biggest lead of the day at 58-48 with 5:29 remaining.

The Lions outshot (43.5%-30% FG)  and outrebounded (38-31) the Fighting Knights but struggled with their ball control, committing 17 turnovers, leading to 21 Lynn points (15 of those in the second half (and six in the last four minutes). Lynn committed just ten turnovers leading to seven Lincoln points.Â

The men's basketball team will face host Salem University in the final game of the Manchin Classic on Sunday, December 10, 2017. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
