LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. –
Steve Talmo (New Castle, Del./William Penn HS) had three hits, while Richard Holguin (Bronx, N.Y./Fannie Lou Hamer HS), Kyle Finneman (South Jordan, Utah/Bingham) and Stephen Smith (Los Angeles, Calif./Dorsey HS) each had two, but it wasn't enough as the Lincoln University baseball team fell, 18-4, on Sunday to complete the three-game CIAA series against Shaw at the Lincoln University Baseball Field.
 
The Bears (5-19 overall, 1-11 CIAA) scored in every inning, except the fourth in earning the win. The Lions (2-14, 2-10) plated a run in the fourth, fifth, seventh and ninth.
 
Dan Spikes (Fort Washington, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS) (0-2) took the loss in five innings, while Devin Legins (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill Academy) pitched four innings in relief.
 
A.J. Williams was dominating on the mound with 14 strikeouts in the complete-game win.
 
The Lions step out of CIAA play with a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 27 against Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pa. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
