Lions Drop Three-Game CACC Series to Chestnut Hill

Philadelphia , PA / Lincoln University, PA – March 28-29, 2026 – The Lincoln University (PA) baseball team competed in a three-game CACC series against Chestnut Hill over the weekend, falling in all three contests.

Game 1 – Chestnut Hill 15, Lincoln (PA) 9

Lincoln opened the series with a strong offensive showing but came up short in a 15-9 loss on Saturday.

The Lions jumped out early, taking a 2-1 lead behind a first-inning run and a solo home run from Antonio Bruno (Browns Mills, NJ) in the second. However, Chestnut Hill responded with a seven-run second inning to take control.

Lincoln answered with five runs in the third inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Keith Gardner (Franklinton, NC/South Granville HS), Bruno, and Marc Harrison Jr (Upper Marlboro, MD/Flowers HS)., cutting the deficit to 8-7. The Griffins responded in the middle innings and held off a late push from the Lions to secure the win.

Bruno led the way with three hits and three RBIs, while Sean Stoney (Rosedale, NY/Archbishop Molloy HS) added three hits and Harrison Jr. drove in two runs.

Game 2 – Chestnut Hill 18, Lincoln (PA) 4

In game two of the doubleheader, Lincoln fell 18-4 as Chestnut Hill used a big first inning to take control.

The Lions struck first on an RBI single from Isaiah Tinsley-Cobbs and added another run on a solo home run from Marcellus Brown (Washington, DC/Riverdale Baptist) in the second. However, the Griffins answered with six runs in the opening inning and continued to build their lead throughout the game.

Lincoln added two runs in the fifth inning on a two-RBI double from Kenneth Gaskins but could not keep pace offensively.

Sean Stoney (Rosedale, NY/Archbishop Molloy HS) led Lincoln with two hits and two runs scored, while Brown and Gaskins each recorded RBIs.

Game 3 – Chestnut Hill 14, Lincoln (PA) 2

Lincoln closed out the series on Sunday with a 14-2 loss at home.

Chestnut Hill took the lead in the second inning and broke the game open with five runs in the fourth, followed by five more in the fifth to pull away.

The Lions scored in the third inning on a sacrifice fly from Jaden Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) and added another run in the fourth on an RBI single by Chris Howard (Bronx, NY).

Lincoln was limited to one hit in the contest while drawing eight walks but was unable to generate consistent offense.

The Lions remain in CACC play on Tuesday, March 31, traveling to face Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
