LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University football team returns to Lincoln University Stadium on Saturday as the Lions battle with Johnson C. Smith in a CIAA showdown.

THE EVENT: Lincoln looks to break into the win column and climb back into the CIAA race with a win, while Johnson C. Smith seeks to extend its winning streak to three games.
 
The Lions are coming off a slugfest with Livingstone last week as Doug Cook (Dania Beach, FL/University School of Nova SE University), who was named the CIAA Quarterback of the Week, threw for a career-best 463 yards and five touchdowns in the 48-44 loss.
 
Defensively, Tim Green (Fanwood, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS) paces Lincoln with 38 tackles, including 30 solo stops and five sacks.
 
HALL OF FAME GAME: Lincoln will honor the Inaugural Hall of Fame Class at halftime of the game: The 2012 Inaugural Hall of Fame Inductees are: Dr. Leonard L. Bethel, Dr. Frank “Tick” Coleman, Barrington “Barry” Fearon, Munford Merrill “Monte” Irvin, Rhondale Jones, Ashley Parker, Dr. Tarron Richardson, Manuel Rivero, Robert Eugene Smith, Dr. Tehma Hallie Stanton Smith and Clive Terrelonge.
 
THE SERIES: The series is tied at 2. Johnson C. Smith won the last meeting, 7-0, in 1956.
