Tyson Earns CIAA Wide Receiver of the Week Honors for Third Consecutive Week

10/6/2026 3:00:00 PM

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Lincoln University (Pa.) football player Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) has been named the CIAA Wide Receiver of the Week for the third consecutive week following his standout performance against Virginia State in the Frederick Douglass HBCU Football Classic on October 3.

Tyson recorded a game-high 11 receptions for 130 yards, leading both teams in receiving yardage. He averaged 11.8 yards per catch and hauled in a long reception of 38 yards during the Lions' competitive 42–32 contest in Rochester, New York.

A dependable target for Lincoln's quarterbacks, Tyson accounted for half of the Lions' completions and nearly 55 percent of their receiving yards. His production helped Lincoln generate 395 yards of total offense and score in every quarter against the Trojans.

The third consecutive weekly honor recognizes Tyson's continued impact on Lincoln's passing attack and his consistent production against CIAA competition as he is currently ranked in first place.

Tyson and the Lions will be back in action on Saturday, October 10 at Elizabeth City State University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
