Dooley has three hits as Lions fall to Vikings

Brandon Dooley collected three hits in a loss to the Vikings
Box Score OXFORD, Pa. Brandon Dooley (Bear, Del./Red Lion Christian Academy) went 3-for-5 at the plate, but it wasn't enough as the Lincoln University baseball team dropped a 20-5 decision in the series finale to Elizabeth City State on Sunday at Oxford Area High School.
 
Demetrius Morris, Richard Holguin (Bronx, N.Y./Fannie Lou Hamer HS) Maurice Brown (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg HS), Steve Talmo (New Castle, Del./William Penn HS) Kevin Cicali (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit HS), Devin Legins (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill Academy) and Dan Spikes (Fort Washington, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS) each had one hit in the losing effort.
 
Matthew Anderson (Newark, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) (2-5) took the loss in 4.2 innings. He surrendered eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits with four strikeouts. Stephen Smith (Los Angeles, Calif./Dorsey HS) and Brandon Bolden (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro HS) each worked in relief.
 
Brad Miller (1-1) picked up the win in six innings of work. He gave up five runs (four earned) on eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Michael Duck worked the final three innings in relief.
 
Lincoln (5-20 overall, 3-11 CIAA) returns to action with a mid-week CIAA single, nine-inning, contest at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 11 against Virginia State University at Oxford Area High School.
