Think Pink Day set for Tuesday

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Monday's basketball doubleheader versus Virginia State will be the annual Pink Zone Day.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink apparel as a part of a “Pink-Out” that's sure to provide quite a visual. The first 100 fans will receive the official “Hoops 4 the Cure” T-shirts designed by the LU Athletic Department.

The women's game begins at 5:30 p.m. with the men's contest to follow afterward.

The Lincoln family has actively participated in breast cancer awareness activities. In October, the women traveled to Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day. Participating in some of the activities and seeing the number of people touched in some way by the disease had quite and affect on the Lady Lions.

“Many staff members and their families have been touched by breast cancer, or some other form of cancer, in some way,” said Natasha Wilson, the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Affairs and Compliance. “We are glad that we can take part in the WBCA's attempt to bring attention to the issue and help in any way that we can.”
