LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – For the second straight week, Lincoln University football's
Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) has earned Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) weekly honors. Tyson was named CIAA Receiver of the Week for Week 4.
The senior from Elkton, Maryland, caught eight passes for 153 yards and a touchdown in Lincoln's 20–7 win over Bluefield State on September 26. His 62-yard touchdown reception from
Jayden Triplett (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) early in the second quarter gave the Lions a 13–0 lead. Tyson accounted for eight of Lincoln's 10 completions and 153 of its 166 passing yards, providing a consistent target as the Lions earned their first victory of the season.
Tyson and the Lions return to action Saturday, October 3, against Virginia State University in the Frederick Douglass Classic in Rochester, New York. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
