LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – The Lincoln University (PA) volleyball team begins a three-match road stretch Wednesday, September 2, when the Lions travel to Caldwell, New Jersey, for a non-conference matchup against Caldwell University.

First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside the George R. Newman Center.

Lincoln enters the contest with a 0-3 record after opening the 2026 season at the PSAC East Kickoff Volleyball Tournament, hosted by West Chester University. The Lions faced West Chester, Jefferson and Caldwell during the two-day event.

Wednesday's contest will mark the second meeting between Lincoln and Caldwell in less than a week. The Cougars earned a 3-0 victory in the first matchup on August 29, taking the sets by scores of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-12.

Despite the result, Lincoln displayed encouraging progress throughout the match. The Lions battled Caldwell closely in the opening two sets and held the Cougars to a .167 hitting percentage during the second frame.

Amira Billingsley (Glen Burnie, MD/) led Lincoln offensively with six kills, while Donavyn Morris (Chester, PA/) anchored the defense with a match-high 18 digs. Morris has emerged as a consistent presence in the back row, totaling 39 digs across Lincoln's first three matches.

The Lions also improved offensively throughout opening weekend, increasing their kill total in each match. Lincoln recorded nine kills against West Chester, 14 against Jefferson and 20 against Caldwell.

Caldwell enters Wednesday's match with a 1-2 record. Marley Rudolph led the Cougars with 15 kills and nine digs in the first meeting, while Meredith Gatz added 12 kills. Sienna Reddell directed the Caldwell offense with 24 assists.

Lincoln will look to use its familiarity with the Cougars to make adjustments, continue its early-season growth and earn its first victory of the season.

Following Wednesday's match, the Lions will remain on the road to face Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, September 5, at noon.
