LAKEWOOD, NJ – March 26, 2026 – The Lincoln University (PA) baseball team battled late but came up just short in a 5-4 loss to Georgian Court in CACC play on Thursday afternoon.
Georgian Court struck early in the second inning with back-to-back solo home runs to take a 2-0 lead. The Lions answered in the fourth inning when Sean Stoney (Rosedale, NY/Archbishop Molloy HS) delivered an RBI single to center field, cutting the deficit to one.
The Lions continued to chip away throughout the game. After Georgian Court extended its lead to 4-1 in the fifth, Lincoln responded in the seventh inning as Marc Harrison Jr (Upper Marlboro, MD/Flowers HS). drove in a run on a groundout.
Lincoln pulled within one in the eighth inning when Keith Gardner (Franklinton, NC/South Granville HS) singled to center field, bringing home a run to make it 4-3. However, Georgian Court answered in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI single to extend the lead back to two.
In the ninth, Harrison Jr. gave the Lions a final push with a solo home run to left field, but the comeback fell just short.
Harrison Jr. led the way offensively, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a home run. Jaden Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) and Gardner each added two hits, while Stoney contributed an RBI.
Lincoln recorded 10 hits on the day but was unable to overcome Georgian Court's early power surge.
