ORANGEBURG, N.Y.- Mar 21st, 2026 – The Lincoln University baseball team traveled to New York looking to take two from Dominican University but came up short after strong offensive performances from Dominican.
Game 1: Lincoln 6, Dominican 9
Lincoln trailed for most of the game but found a spark in the top of the eighth inning to tie it up before Dominican responded and ultimately put the game away.
Kenneth Gaskins III helped lead the Lions with two RBIs, including his first home run of the season. Keith Gardner (Franklinton, NC/South Granville HS) was the standout at the plate, collecting three RBIs on two hits, both being home runs that kept his bat hot throughout the game.
On the mound, Ethan Craig (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape HS) went five innings, running into some trouble in the third but limiting the damage. Marc Harrison Jr (Upper Marlboro, MD/Flowers HS). had an off outing, unable to get out of the fifth inning while allowing two runs. Pedro Santos (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) came in and helped settle things down, throwing three strong innings to keep Lincoln in the game until Dominican capitalized late.
Game 2: Lincoln 1, Dominican 16
Lincoln's offense lost its spark in game two, finishing with just four hits over seven innings and struggling to build any momentum.
Marcellus Brown (Washington, DC/Riverdale Baptist), Isaiah Tinsley-Cobbs, Darryl Husband (Mechanicsville, VA), and Frederick Perry (Houston, TX) each recorded a hit for the Lions.
On the mound, DeVaughn Earl-Hayden (Pittsburgh, PA) had a tough first collegiate start, allowing 13 runs, with 11 unearned, over three innings. Scott Renk (Pottstown, PA/Spring-Ford HS), Sean Stoney (Rosedale, NY/Archbishop Molloy HS), and Darryl Husband (Mechanicsville, VA) came out of the bullpen and helped limit further damage, allowing just three runs over the final four innings.
