Baltimore, MD – February 25, 2026 – The Lincoln University (PA) men's basketball team saw its postseason journey conclude Wednesday evening with a 76-60 loss to Virginia State University in the CIAA Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals at CFG Bank Arena.
Lincoln finishes the 2025-26 season with a 10-20 overall record after earning a first-round victory over Shaw to advance to the quarterfinal round.
Julius Olanrewaju (Coalinga, CA) led the Lions with 19 points and five rebounds, attacking the basket and converting 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Ronald Bridges Jr. (Durham, NC) added 11 points, while Gian-Paul Anderson (Orlando, FL) also finished with 11 off the bench, knocking down seven free throws. Amadou Fall (Bronx, NY) contributed seven points, four rebounds, two assists, and four blocks in the effort.
The contest featured 10 lead changes and remained competitive throughout the first half, with Lincoln trailing 39-31 at the break. The Lions continued to battle in the second half but struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting 21.6 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes.
Lincoln controlled the boards with 45 rebounds and shot 83.3 percent from the free-throw line, but Virginia State capitalized inside, scoring 44 points in the paint and converting efficiently down the stretch.
Though the season ends in Baltimore, the Lions' resilience in tournament play and growth throughout the year position the program to carry valuable experience forward into the offseason.
