Lincoln University, PA. - September 20, 2025 - The Lincoln University (PA) Football team suffers a loss to Shaw University during the University's home opener resulting in a final score of 36-21.
The Lions started the game slowly in the beginning as the team was unable to score through the first two quarters; it was not until the third quarter when the Lions were able to get on the board on a 27-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Hamas Duren (Sicklerville, Nj/Winslow Township HS) . Lincoln added two more scores in the fourth but came up short in a 36-21 loss to Shaw.
On defense the Lions were led by Charles Thompson (Chester, PA/Stem Academy)Â with eight tackles while Darron Miller (Chester, PA/Chester HS) Â chipped in with seven. Quarterback Hamas Duren (Sicklerville, Nj/Winslow Township HS) finished the game 23-of-43 for 269 yards with two touchdown passes and three interceptions. Justice Williams () and Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) hauled in Duren's scoring strikes, and Rondarius Gregory (Nashville, TN) supplied Lincoln's rushing touchdown on a 25-yard run.
The Lincoln University football team will be on the road next weekend as they travel to face Livingstone College at 4:00 p.m. on September 27, 2025 in Salisbury, N.C.Â
