Salisbury, N.C. – Lincoln University (PA) football battled on the road but came up short in a 31-7 decision against Livingstone College on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions found the end zone late in the fourth quarter when quarterback Hamas Duren (Sicklerville, Nj/Winslow Township HS) connected with Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) for a 13-yard touchdown strike, capping a 75-yard drive. Defensively, Charles Thompson (Chester, PA/Stem Academy) anchored the unit with 10 tackles, while Kemaal McMillan added a sack and two tackles for loss. Marvin Latortue (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood High School) also came up with an interception to stall a Blue Bears drive.
Lincoln heads into a bye week before returning to action on Saturday, October 11, at 12 p.m. in another CIAA matchup on the road at Bluefield State University.
