Last Time Out

Lincoln enters Saturday's contest following a 62-0 setback against Virginia Union University on Friday, October 30, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The Lions faced a challenging Virginia Union squad and will look to regroup offensively while tightening their defensive execution heading into the season finale.

Throughout the season, Lincoln has shown flashes of offensive production, including a 32-point performance against Virginia State and a 27-point outing against Shaw. The Lions also earned their lone victory of the season with a 20-7 win over Bluefield State on September 26.

Saturday's matchup provides Lincoln with one final opportunity to put together a complete performance and carry momentum into the offseason.

Lions to Watch

Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) – Wide Receiver

Tyson has been one of Lincoln's most consistent offensive weapons throughout the 2026 campaign. The standout receiver earned four consecutive CIAA Wide Receiver of the Week honors, establishing himself as a reliable target in the Lions' passing attack.

Against Elizabeth City State, Tyson hauled in 10 receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns, including a 47-yard scoring reception. His ability to stretch the field and create opportunities after the catch will be important against the Bowie State secondary.

Jayden Triplett (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) – Quarterback

Triplett has helped lead Lincoln's offensive attack and will look to establish an early rhythm against the Bulldogs. His ability to distribute the football and extend plays will be essential as the Lions attempt to generate consistent offensive production.

Charles Thompson (Chester, PA/Stem Academy) – Linebacker

Thompson has been a key contributor to Lincoln's defensive unit throughout the season. His leadership, tackling ability and presence in the middle of the defense will be critical as the Lions prepare to face Bowie State's offensive attack.

Sahaaj Bennett (Netcong, NJ/Malcolm X Shabazz HS) – Defensive Back

Bennett has provided a steady presence in Lincoln's secondary. Earlier this season, he recorded a game-high 10 tackles against Elizabeth City State, helping limit the Vikings to just 28 passing yards. His coverage skills and ability to support the run defense will be important in Saturday's contest.

Scouting Bowie State

Bowie State enters the regular-season finale with a 4-5 overall record after falling to Fayetteville State in its previous outing.

The Bulldogs will return to Bulldog Stadium for their final home contest of the season, looking to close out their 2026 campaign with a victory in front of their home crowd.

Bowie State opened its season with four consecutive road games, including nonconference contests against NCAA Division I opponents Delaware State and Alabama A&M.

The Bulldogs have faced a challenging CIAA schedule that included matchups against Virginia Union, Johnson C. Smith, Winston-Salem State and Fayetteville State.

Lincoln will need to establish offensive consistency, protect the football and limit explosive plays to challenge the Bulldogs on their home field.
