Winston-Salem, NC – February 17, 2025 – The Lincoln University (PA) men's and women's track and field teams delivered standout performances at the CIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, highlighted by individual event wins and multiple podium finishes at the JDL Fast Track.
Senior Jude Butumbi (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) captured gold in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.20m (23-07.50), securing 10 points for the Lions. Adam Green (Pottstown, PA/Pottstown) added another victory for the men's team, clearing 3.65m (11-11.75) in the pole vault to claim first place and 10 points.
On the track, Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) dominated the women's 400m, winning with a time of 54.93 seconds, a new season-best and the 12th-best time in Division II this year. She also advanced to the 800m final with a time of 2:21.88 and contributed to the women's distance medley relay team's 5th-place finish.
Senior Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) continued her stellar season by placing 4th in the 60m dash (7.70) and 2nd in the 60m hurdles (8.67), while freshman Sabianka Alexis (Brooklyn,NY/New Visions Charter HS for Advanced Math and Science) made an impact by qualifying for the 60m dash final and scoring 1 point with an eighth-place finish.
