LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – October 25, 2025 – In front of a lively Homecoming crowd at Frank "Tick" Coleman Field, Lincoln University (PA) struck for a pair of touchdown connections but fell 62–14 to Elizabeth City State in CIAA play.
Junior quarterback Hamas Duren (Sicklerville, Nj/Winslow Township HS) delivered both Lions scores, first uncorking a 61-yard strike to Joshua George (Farmingdale, NY/Long Island Lutheran HS) late in the first quarter, then finding Kasi Hazzard (Hillside, NJ/John P. Stevens HS) for an 11-yard TD in the third. On the ground, Dexter Baptism powered the offense with 93 rushing yards on 14 carries, helping Lincoln sustain drives against a swarming ECSU front.
Defensively, the Lions generated backfield pressure and takeaways throughout the afternoon. Lester McCoy (Bridgeton, NJ/Clayton HS) led the charge with 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss, while Zion Knox (Philadelphia, PA) and Marvin Latortue (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood High School) each pounced on loose balls to halt Viking possessions. Special teams created a momentum swing in the second quarter with a long return chance, and Lincoln's coverage units repeatedly pinned ECSU deep to open the second half.
