ETTRICK, Va. – November 1, 2025 – The Lincoln University (PA) football team showed resilience on the road Saturday afternoon but came up short in a 35–14 loss to Virginia State University at Rogers Stadium.
The Lions opened the game strong as quarterback Rhyel Miles-Eubanks (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville Area HS) connected with Wayne Allen (Wilmington, De./Hodgson Vo Tech High School) for a four-yard touchdown to cap off a 75-yard drive early in the first quarter. Lincoln later added another score in the third quarter when Joshua George (Farmingdale, NY/Long Island Lutheran HS) found the end zone on a 12-yard rush to make it 21–14 midway through the period.
Miles-Eubanks finished the game 19-of-29 passing for 196 yards and one touchdown, while Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) led all receivers with nine catches for 124 yards, including a 65-yard strike that set up the Lions' first scoring drive. On the ground, Dexter Baptism paced the rushing attack with 75 yards on 21 carries, and Jayden Triplett (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) added 60 yards rushing in relief.
Defensively, Marc Harrison Jr ()., Brandon Robinson (Lithonia, GA/Martin Luther King, Jr. HS), and Landan Turk anchored the Lions' effort, each recording multiple tackles as the defense produced a forced fumble and an interception by freshman Brosnan Dukes (Washington, DC/Paul Laurence Dunbar HS), returned 28 yards.
The Lions will return home to Frank "Tick" Coleman Field on Saturday, November 8 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day, hosting Bowie State University in their final home game of the 2025 season.
