LU Men’s Basketball Predicted to Finish 7th in the CIAA

Hudson Named to 2023-24 Preseason All-CIAA Backcourt

BALTIMORE, MD (September 25, 2023) - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announces the 2023 Preseason All-CIAA Men's Basketball team and the predicted order of finish, as voted on by the CIAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association and CIAA College Sports Communicators Association.
The Lincoln University Lions were picked to finish 7th overall among the 13 CIAA member institutions. Predicted to secure the championship title are the Broncos of Fayetteville State University.
Coach Jason Armstrong will lead the Lions in his new role as head coach after the removal of his interim title. Last season, Coach Armstrong led the team to a 17-15 overall record, 8-8 in the CIAA, including a historic run to the CIAA Tournament Championship Game, the first in Lincoln's storied history.
Reggie Hudson (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond's) represents the Lincoln Lions on the All-CIAA Men's Basketball Preseason Backcourt. Hudson rounded out the 2022-23 season 4th in the CIAA in assists, averaging 3.2 per game and tied for 1st in the conference with 1.8 steals per game.
Alongside leading the Lions in assists and steals, Hudson averaged 11.2 points per contest with a 43.1 field goal percentage. A true Lincoln leader, Hudson was 42.1% from behind the arc, 65.9% from the free throw line, and averaged 3.3 rebounds per game.
LU Men's Basketball will open their season on November 10-11 at the CIAA/PSAC Challenge, hosted by Elizabeth City State University. The Lions are slated to play East Stroudsburg at 1:00 p.m. on the first day and Kutztown at 3:00 p.m. on the second day.
