Aisha Carrington became Lincoln University's 1st sprinter/hurdler, male or female, to run at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships since the transition to NCAA Division II.Â
Carrington started the evening race strong and was just behind the heat leader when she connected with the final hurdle and fell to the track surface. Carrington was able to recover and complete the race, however the fall spoiled her shot at advancing to the 100 meter hurdle finals.
"It was tough day, but Aisha is a competitor and a fighter. I have no doubt she will return stronger and faster. She has pushed herself this season and put in the work necessary to get this far. We are excited for her future at Lincoln." said Coach
Roland Whiting.
