Lincoln University Athletics Posts Strong 2025 Fall Academic Results

Lincoln University, Pa. – January 27, 2026 – Lincoln University student-athletes continued their upward academic trajectory during the Fall 2025 semester, posting a 3.075 cumulative GPA and a 3.076 term GPA across 253 total student-athletes.

The Fall 2025 results reflect measurable improvement from Fall 2024, when Lincoln student-athletes recorded a 3.018 cumulative GPA and a 2.997 term GPA. The percentage of student-athletes earning a 3.00 or higher cumulative GPA also increased, rising from 61 percent in Fall 2024 to 62 percent in Fall 2025.
A key highlight of the semester was the department's consistency across programs, as 11 of Lincoln's 13 athletic teams recorded both a 3.00 or higher cumulative GPA and a 3.00 or higher term GPA, reinforcing the University's commitment to excellence in the classroom alongside competitive success.
"Academics play a pivotal role in the student-athlete experience at Lincoln University," said Harry Stinson III, Director of Athletics and Recreational Services. "It is always a proud moment to see our students excelling both in the classroom and on the playing surface. I am excited to see the success of our student-athletes, with nearly all of our teams posting a GPA above 3.0. We are continuing the tradition of developing high achievers for global impact and preparing leaders within our community. This success is a testament to how our student-athletes are fully taking advantage of the opportunity to use their athletic abilities to support their academic and career goals."

Overall Academic Snapshot
Lincoln student-athletes finished the Fall 2025 semester with a 3.075 cumulative GPA and a 3.076 term GPA across 253 total participants. A total of 157 student-athletes (62 percent) earned a 3.00 or higher cumulative GPA.

Academic Standing Breakdown
Fifteen student-athletes earned President's List recognition, while 47 earned Honors distinction. An additional 103 student-athletes were named to the Dean's List, with 79 finishing the semester in Good Standing.

Perfect 4.00 GPAs
Lincoln University had 15 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.00 GPA during the Fall 2025 semester, representing multiple programs across the department.

Team GPA Leaders
Women's Soccer led all programs with a 3.48 cumulative GPA, followed by Softball (3.42) and Women's Cross Country (3.22).
In term GPA, Softball (3.49) led the way, followed by Women's Soccer (3.47) and Women's Cross Country (3.37).
Among men's programs, Men's Basketball posted a 3.43 cumulative GPA and a 3.46 term GPA, while Men's Cross Country recorded a 3.41 cumulative GPA and a 3.43 term GPA. Baseball rounded out the top performers with a 3.19 cumulative GPA and a 3.31 term GPA.
