PHILADELPHIA / LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University baseball program will make the short trip to the City of Brotherly Love on Tuesday before making its long-awaited home debut Wednesday afternoon versus the Jefferson Rams.

Lincoln (PA) Overview:
The Orange and Blue are the East Coast Conference's top dog in a bunch of offensive categories including batting average (.265), doubles (12), home runs (4), on-base percentage (.392), slugging percentage (.377), and steals (13).
 
Sheldon Johnson (Pittsburgh, Penn./Woodland Hills) is responsible for three of the team's four round-trippers, the most in the conference, and a top-35 per game average nationally (0.43). He also slots second in the ECC for slugging percentage (.800).
 
Other notable hitters in the lineup are Jalen Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) being the toughest student-athlete to strikeout in the league (10.5), Jefry Ancona's second-best steals average (0.50), and Josiah Bowles' (Plant City, Fla./Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy) fifth-highest walk rate in the league (0.86).
 
On the bump, Gabriel Sanchez (Anthony, N.M./Gadsden) has a top-five H/9 among his conference counterparts (6.30) while Conner Jones (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) is one of just three players with a save.
 
Scouting the Jefferson Rams: 
 
The Rams have matched up with three different opponents over eight games, dropping a single contest at #19 Millersville, taking two-of-three opposite Bloomsburg, and losing three-of-four at Pace.
 
The two-toned blues are a fundamental club that pitch well, field their positions, and excel at small ball. They sport a top-35 fielding percentage (.976), H/9 (7.92), and K/9 (10.3) while swiping the 11th-most bases per game in DII (3.50).
 
The primary thief is Alex Gonzalez, averaging one stolen base a night, top-15 in the country while also blasting a top-20 on-base percentage (.611) as well as a top-12 walk rate (1.25).
 
Three Rams are hitting above .400 led by Jay Kalieta (.500), Ryan Coyle (.444), and Gonzalez (.417).
