LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA (November 27, 2023)- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association in conjunction with the CIAA College Sports Communicators Association and the CIAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association, announce the Week 3 CIAA Player of the Week Honors. The Lincoln University Lions secured the Defensive Player Week honor after action-packed Thanksgiving weekend.
 
Sophomore guard, Freddie Young, Jr. (Ewing, N.J./Trenton Catholic) played multiple roles on the court last week as the Lions faced the Vulcans of Cal. PA at home, then traveled to Erie, PA for the Gary Miller Classic against the Davenport Panthers and the Gannon Golden Knights. Young, Jr. fought hard for the Lions collecting 42 points, 11 rebounds and 8 steals.
 
The Lincoln University men's basketball team, under the leadership of Head Coach Jason Armstrong, will travel up the road to Philadelphia, PA to take on Jefferson University on Tuesday, November 28.  Tip-off is set for 8pm at the Gallagher Center.
