GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Lincoln University cross country teams opened the 2022 season at the Osprey Open. The women's team placed fifth of nine schools, while the men's team was ninth of 10 teams.
Freshman
Jazmin Savage (Philadelphia, Pa./Overbrook) was the first Lincoln harrier across the line, placing 42nd in 22:26.24. The rest of the squad occupied four of the next eight places. Sophomore
Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) came in 45th place with a time of 22:44.66, followed by junior
Nakacee McNab (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) with the time of 22:57.52.
The final two Lincoln runners to complete the 5K course were freshmen
Jazlynn Church (Wilmington, Del./The Charter School) (23:08.32) and
Avionne Barnes (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) (23:13.49).
On the men's side, freshman Irving Marable was 39th with the time of 17:59.09, while
Nathaniel Baker (Philadelphia, Pa./Beeber) was the second Lincoln harrier to complete the 5K course in the time of 19:15.61.
Sophomore
Clayton McLaren (Brockton, Mass./Brimmer and May) was the third Lincoln runner, finishing in 20:10.73, followed by
Brandon Frierson (Philadelphia, Pa./Olney Charter) (20:18.28) and sophomore
Lamar Clanton (Wyncote, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) (21:41.06).
