The Lincoln University football team hits the road for the first time this season, traveling to FCS opponent Gardner Webb 6 p.m. Saturday.

Freshman
Andrew Banks (Atlanta, Ga. /Mays) appear to have taken over the quarterback race. Ater missing the first game of the season, the freshman entered into last week's game late in the first quarter.
Banks finished 16-of-22 for 157 yards with no touchdowns. He was sacked five times. Redshirt sophomore
Isaiah Wilson (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) V is still in the mix after starting the first two games. Through two games, Wilson V is 12-of-31 for 161 yards and an interception.
SHARING THE LOAD
Through two games, five running backs have appeared for the Lions in the backfield.

Ahman Foster-Powell (Henrico, Va./Highland Springs) has 17 carries for a team-high 54 yards, while freshman
Zaheer Seabrooks (Paterson, N.J. /Bethlehem Catholic) has toted the ball nine times for 30 yards. Junior
Samuel Bryant (Tucker, Ga. /Tucker), sophomore
Daniel Scott (Philadelphia, Pa. /Northeast), and freshman
Charlie Burnett (Gettysburg, Pa. /Gettysburg) have all carried the ball for Lincoln.
FLYING AROUND
The Lincoln defensive backs have been all over the place early in the season. The Lions have three interceptions, one each from junior
Eric Best (Burlington, N.J. /Burlington), junior
Roosevelt Jordan (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) and freshman
Rontay Dunbar (Brooklyn, N.Y. /Freedom). Dunbar has a second pick, this one returned for a touchdown, called back due to an offsides penalty. The three interceptions are 15th in Division II.
ROCKING THE CREDLE
Junior receiver
Michael Credle, Jr. (Bear, Del./Glasgow) has a team-high 10 receptions, accounting for more than 33 percent of the team's total catches. However, his 7.8 yards per catch is last amongst the Lincoln receivers.
TOP 20
Lincoln's defense is 14th nationally, second in the CIAA in total defense, allowing just 196.5 yards per game. The 19.5 points per game surrendered in tops in the CIAA.

The Lions are holding onto the ball for almost 36 minutes per game. That leaves Lincoln ninth nationally in time of possession.
