The Series:
Sunday's game will be the 11
th meeting between Washington Adventist and Lincoln. The series dates back to 1993-94 when Washington Adventist was called Columbia Union College. The Shock lead the all-time series 6-4 with the Lions winning the last four contests. The two teams last played on December 7, 2017 with the Lions recording a 77-53 win at Manuel Rivero Hall.

It was the Lions second road win of the season, evening the Lions' road mark to 2-2 (LU is 0-1 in neutral site games and 1-2 at home). Lincoln Earns Split in Tipoff Tournament
Lincoln opened their season with a 86-71 win over regionally ranked Kutztown University.
DeAshia Young (Detroit, Mich./Detroit Public Safety Academy (Labette CC)) exploded for 31 points in the win while grabbing nine rebounds.
Shakira Edwards (Newark, N.J./Bloomfield Tech) added 11 while
Jada Queen (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) chipped in ten.
Edwards recorded her first collegiate double-double the next day as the Lions lost to Bloomsburg, 54-47. The freshman guard had 12 points and ten rebounds.
Newcomer of the Week
Deja Reynolds (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter (Temple)) was been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Basketball Newcomer of the Week for her performances in the Lions two games during the week ending November 18,. 2018
Reynolds was the team's co-leading scorer in their home opening win over University of the District of Columbia, netting 14 points. She followed that up with a 12-point effort in the loss to regionally ranked Jefferson University.
More Weekly honors
For her efforts in the Lions season opening tipoff tournament, Edwards was named the CIAA Rookie of the Week. Edwards averaged 11.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 91.7% from the free throw line (11-12) and 35.3% (6-17) from the field.

Last Time Out for Washington Adventist
The Washington Adventist University women's basketball team defeated The Apprentice School Wednesday evening by a final score of 63-56. In the first quarter, the Shock set the tone with an 18-10 lead. At half-time, the Shock led 39-25 and had steady control of the contest.
In the second half, the Builders battled-back outscoring the Shock 18-13 in the third quarter. With four minutes left in the contest, the Builders cut into the Shock lead 55-50. The Builders run wasn't enough as the Shock held them off by a final score of 63-56. The Shock outrebounded the Builders 56-39. The Shock were led by freshmen Deonna Jones-Carter who finished with a double-double scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Candice Berner chipped in with 10 points. Amber Morman added 8 points and 20 rebounds. Aryanna Hutcherson finished with a game high 8 assists.
