LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The women's basketball team at Lincoln University opens its regular season at West Chester University on Saturday, Nov. 14
th in the Carol Eckman Memorial Tournament. The Lady Lions play West Chester at 6 p.m. on Saturday and then on Sunday they play Gannon at 2p.m. in the Carol Eckman Memorial Tournament.
The 2014-15 Co-Champions of the CIAA Northern Division then opens at home in Manuel Rivero Hall for back-to-back games against Wilmington on Nov. 18th at 7 p.m. and against University of the Sciences on Nov. 22nd at 2 p.m.

West Chester returns eight seniors, including three all-conference selections in guards Brittany Sicinski and Dallas Ely at first team and forward Chikisha Steele-Hook as a second team selection. West Chester Women's Basketball team was picked 25th by the USA Today coaches committee in the last poll.
ALL-TIME SERIESLincoln trails the all-time series on the hardwood against West Chester, 0-4. The series started in the 2007-08 season and the two teams played for the next four years through 2010-11. In their last meeting at West Chester the Lady Lions suffered an 83-40 loss on Dec. 10, 2010.

De'jah Taylor (Nanuet, NY/Paramus Catholic Regional), and sophomore guard
Teira Pendleton (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) all made appearances in the starting lineup last season.
AMANI CLARK: Lincoln's steals (31) and free-throw attempts (159) leader from 2014-15. She scored in double figures 18 times last season including a season-high 25 points at Goldey Beacom. Three times last season she scored 20 or more points.
COURTNEY SMITH: Lincoln's top returning scorer (11.1 ppg), 3-Pt FGs made (68), free throw percentage (.752), minutes played (988), and assists (77). Smith is the Lady Lions all-time leader in three-point field goals made (153).
MIEANA GAINES: Gaines had a team-high 25 blocks and was third on offensive rebounds (56) lasts season. She had a season-best 15 pints against Washington Adventist and had a season-high 11 rebounds against Georgian Court.
LENNEE KIMBELL: Kimbell was fourth on the team in assists (44). Twice last season she dished out six assists; vs. Chestnut Hill and Dominican.
LISA SAUNDERS: Saunders led LU in scoring three times in 2014-15. She scored in double figures six times including a season-high 15 points twice; vs. Alderson Broaddus and at Virginia Union. Lisa was second on the team in 3-Pt FGs made (27) and was third in free throw percentage (.667).
TEIRA PENDLETON: All-CIAA Rookie Team member in 2014-15. Led Lincoln in scoring three times and reached double figure scoring eight times. She was second on the Lady Lions in free throw percentage (.716).
DE'JAH TAYLOR: Taylor was second on the Lady Lions in 2014-15 in double-doubles; at Elizabeth City State (10p, 10r) and vs. Virginia State (15p, 10r). She posted five double-figure scoring games, led Lincoln in rebounding four times, and was the top scorer in two games.
YEAR ONELincoln named their seventh head women's basketball coach in mid-September. After serving as an assistant coach for five season's on the men's basketball staff,
Darrell Mosley was named Head Women's Basketball Coach. Mosley is a graduate of Lincoln University and is a native of Chester, PA.

Courtney Smith (Milwaukee, WI/Nicolet HS) is fifth on the list with 734 total points entering the 2015-16 season. She needs to score 266 points to reach 1,000.
Amani Clark (Middletown, DE/Appoquinimink HS) follows with 638 total points scored, she is 362 points to reach 1,000.
CLARK APPROACHES ALL-TIME STEALS RECORDAmani Clark (Middletown, DE/Appoquinimink HS) led the Lady Lions with 77 steals in 2014-15. She ranks second on the all-time leaders list behind Cynthia Johnson's 230 totaled. In three seasons Clark has 186 and needs 45 this season to become the all-team leader.
SMITH LOOKS TO CLIMB ALL-TIME ASSISTS LISTCourtney Smith (Milwaukee, WI/Nicolet HS) led the Lady Lions with 77 assists in 2014-15. Smith has 181 assists ranking third on the all-time list. She needs 120 assists in her final season to become the leader. Chanelle Harris is the current leader with 300 assists.
2014-15 IN REVIEWThe 2014-15 Lady Lions basketball team reached new heights in a historical season setting new milestones for the program. Lincoln entered the 2015 CIAA Basketball Tournament seeded #1 in the CIAA Northern Division for the first time ever with an 11-5 CIAA record. Lincoln powered past Virginia Union in the quarterfinals round and then upset Livingstone in the semifinals to appear in their first ever Division II championship game. The Lady Lions capped a historical season becoming the winningest women's basketball team in Lincoln history with 22 wins in a single season.
CIAA ALL-ROOKIE TEAMTeira Pendleton (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) was named to the 2014-15 All-CIAA Women's Basketball Rookie Team. Now in her sophomore season she looks to capitalize off of some valuable playing experience as a freshman. Pendleton was named CIAA Player of the Week twice and had eight double-digit scoring games. She averaged 7.1 points per game in 15 starts and scored a season-best 17 points against Alderson Broaddus.
