The Lions played a solid first half against the Rams by outrebounding WSSU 19-16. Lincoln had 30 offensive shot attempts and made four three-pointers.

Justin Jackson (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor HS) each nailed one. In an evenly matched half, WSSU made 9-14 attempts from the free-throw line and Lincoln went 5-6 as the Rams led 35-31 at halftime.
In a close matchup, Lincoln's bench was a key factor in the second half.
Derrick Washington (Washington, DC/Coolidge SHS) led the Lions with 12 points in the second half as LU's bench outscored WSSU 16-4. Washington was 3-6 from the field and 5-8 from the free-throw line.
With 2:32 left in regulation, WSSU had a 64-57 lead but failed to score another point as Lincoln went on a 7-0 run to force overtime.

Lincoln picks up their first CIAA conference win of the season and improves to 9-2, 1-1 CIAA record. The Lions will travel to Salisbury, NC on Monday, January 6
th to battle Livingstone College.
