Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Lincoln University baseball team pounded out four hits on Sunday as the Lions were shutout, 11-0, against Winston-Salem State to close out a three-game CIAA series at BB&T Ballpark.
Kyle Finneman (South Jordan, Utah/Bingham),
Edwin Rivera (Bronx, N.Y./Gompers HS),
David Christian (Inglewood, Calif./Alta Loma HS) and
Martin Evans (Willingboro, N.J./Church Farm HS) each registered a hit.
Richard Holguin (Bronx, N.Y./Fannie Lou Hamer HS) took the loss as he pitched five innings. He surrendered seven runs (two earned) on seven hits with a strikeout and six walks.
Devin Legins (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill Academy) pitched three innings in relief and had two strikeouts.
Kyle Boraski earned the winning as he struck out 10 in six innings. John Markley and Kelly Patram worked in relief as the Rams took a 5-0 advantage into the fourth and didn't look back.
The Lions (0-11 overall, 0-9 CIAA) close out the five-game road trip with a 2 p.m., doubleheader on Thursday, March 21 in Philadelphia against Philadelphia University.
