Box Score Lincoln University, PA - On Sunday evening, The Lincoln University women's basketball team fell to Le Moyne College, 70-59 at home. Sophomore forward 
Lisa Saunders (Hampton, VA/Hampton HS)' team-high 14 points was not enough as the Lady Lions fall to 4-3 on the season.
Lincoln opened the game by quickly taking a 5-0 lead within the first minute and a half of the game. A layup by sophomore center 
Mieana Gaines (Lincoln Park, MI/Southfield University Academy), followed by a three-pointer by senior guard 
Cynthia Johnson (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) created the early lead.
Throughout the next 16 minutes the scores stayed relatively close. Neither team had a lead larger than four points during this stretch, and the game was tied a total of six times.
Le Moyne went on to build a 9-1 run in the last 2:42 of the half, taking a 40-32 lead into intermission.
The Lady Lions began the second half strong by scoring 11 of the first 13 points of the period to bring them within one point. The run was ended by a 
Cynthia Johnson (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) layup with 15:11 left to play.
Following the comeback, Le Moyne responded with another big scoring burst going on a 16-1 run in a little more than seven minutes to make the score 60-44 with 8:17 remaining.
However, Lincoln still refused to surrender. The Lions proceeded to score 11 unanswered points, which included a pair of three-pointers by 
Lisa Saunders (Hampton, VA/Hampton HS). Johnson's jumper completed the run and shrunk the Lady Lions deficit to five points with 4:14 left in the game.
The Lady Lions did not get any closer though, as Le Moyne capitalized off of five drawn fouls and two forced turnovers in the last four minutes to seal an 11-point victory.
In addition to her 14 points, 
Lisa Saunders (Hampton, VA/Hampton HS) also grabbed four rebounds and was 3-7 from three-point territory.
Johnson stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, five assists, six steals and three rebounds while shooting over 54 percent from the field.
Gaines totaled seven points and eight rebounds, while junior center 
Zephrah Pam (Syracuse, NY/Monroe CC) scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds off of the bench.
Lincoln displayed solid ball pressure forcing Le Moyne to cough up 11 turnovers and also came up with eight steals.
Their ball movement was also impressive as 18 of their 21 baskets were assisted on.
The Lady Lions will hold their next game on Thursday, December 5th at 6:00 against Mansfield University at Manuel Rivero Hall.
