Women place seventh behind relays and Campbell

PETERSBURG, Va. (April 23, 2011) —
Lincoln's relays did the bulk of the scoring in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships.

The 4x100-meter team of Fatima Ross (Philadelphia, Pa./Williamstown HS), Kristina Rembert (Bronx, NY/Cathedral), Kimberly Nurse (Newark, DE/Hodgson Vo-Tech) and Taylor Lyons (Oakland, Calif./Holy Names HS) placed fourth in 50.59 seconds while the 4x400-team's season-best time of 4:02.60 of Rembert, Lyons, Shannon Spaulding (Stamford, CT/Westhill HS) and Nurse was sixth for three points.

Kasey Campbell (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute)'s had a personal-best shot put toss of 10.63 meters, also good for sixth and another three teams points.

Overall, the Lady Lions totaled 10 total points for seventh. Johnson C. Smith claimed the female title with 153 points, edging Winston-Salem State with 129.
