LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. (February 5, 2011) — The Lady Lions were nothing short of ecstatic as they got their first home win of the season and snapped a 10-game losing streak, defeating Saint Paul's College in Manuel Rivero Hall Saturday afternoon, 68-60.
Led by an extraordinary, season-high 25-point performance off of 10-22 shooting by Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS), the Lady Lions were able to claw their way back into the game. Slowly but surely chipping away at the Lady Tigers' 12-point advantage late in the first half, LU went ahead for the first time with 6:42 left. Dubose's patented left-handed scoop would bless the net following a great pass from Danielle Smallwood (Philadelphia, PA/West Catholic) counting as one of her three assists for the afternoon.

The Lady Tigers played guest to Lincoln University with only six players available, but that did not seem to affect them as they led for most of the contest. In the first half, SPC got out to a 10-0 run after trailing the Lady Lions, 9-8.
The run was ended by a trip to the charity stripe from Charity Hart (Richmond, VA/Highland Springs) with 6:49 left to go in the half. Lincoln University would end the half trailing 32-25 but would end up turning things around in the second half.
The score seesawed for a bit but Lincoln eventually put their foot on the gas and entered into cruise control.
Senior DeJuana Mosley (Chester, PA/Chester) had 11 points with four assists and Danielle Smallwood (Philadelphia, PA/West Catholic) would add eight points of her own along with three assists. The Lady Lions also had a wonderful contribution from Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) and Brittany Waters, each offering seven points.
For the Lady Tigers Alisha Hardley ended the game with 16 points and 17 rebounds.

Lincoln University (2-16, 1-10 CIAA, 1-4 CIAA) will advance to on the season and will travel to Bowie, MD tomorrow for a contest against Bowie State University at 2:00 p.m.
