Lincoln volleyball falls short in road loss to Goucher

BALTIMORE, MD. (September 23, 2008) – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Goucher College Tuesday evening despite seven kills from senior Donneisha Smith (Milwaukee, WI/Harold S. Vincent) (BOXSCORE TO BE POSTED WEDNESDAY MORNING).

The Lady Lions (2-11 overall) lost 25-22, 25-13, 25-21. Sophomore Lia Hubbard (Farrell, PA/Farrell) finished with 16 assists and senior Lindsey Wilson (Aliquippa, PA/Aliquippa) had 11 digs. Noel Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) finished with four kills for Lincoln. This was the first of two meetings between Lincoln and Goucher. The teams will meet again Tuesday October 7 at Lincoln.

Lincoln returns to action Wednesday night when it hosts Saint Paul's College beginning at 6:00 p.m.
