Women's Basketball Falls to St. Paul's on the Road

Lawrenceville, VA (November 18, 2008) —The Lincoln University women's basketball team (1-2) traveled to St. Paul's College (1-0) for their first away CIAA contest of the 2008-09 basketball season.  Despite having three players in double figures, the Lady Lions fell to the Tigers 67-97. Sophomore guard DeJuana Mosley (Chester, PA/Chester) scored a team high 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds in 29 minutes for the Lady Lions.  Following her lead were freshmen guards Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, MD/Parkside) and a career high for Britny Adams (Bloomingdale, MI/Bloomingdale) who each had 12 points.  DuBose also added a team leading eight caroms while Adams pulled down two and had one assist.

 

For the home St. Paul's Tigers, Tatiana Ellis led all scores with 44 points while pulling down four rebounds and adding a game high five steals to her stat line.  Ellis scored 31 of her 44 points in the second half of the game.  Alicia Brown was the only other player for the Tigers in double figures scoring 11 points. 

 

The next matchup for the Lady Lions will be on Thursday November 20, 2008 when they play host to Virginia Union University at 5:30pm at Manuel Rivero Hall.
