LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. (November 1, 2008) – Lincoln University converted a pair of penalty kick goals during an 11-4 setback to Barton College Saturday morning (BOXSCORE)
Playing its final home match of 2008, Lincoln put up a fight before yielding under Barton's balanced scoring. Barton improved to 3-16-1 overall by getting goals from six different players. Meanwhile, Lincoln fell to 5-10-1 despite goals from Adedotun Osho, Earvin Noel (Cocorite, Trinidad & Tobago/Herbert Lehman) and Yannick Goue.
Noel's goal off a pretty assist from Seye Adekanye (Lagos, Nigeria/), who also helped set up Lincoln's first goal when he was fouled on a breakaway. Noel's goal gave Lincoln a 3-2 advantage 15 minutes into the game. However, Barton responded by scoring the final four goals of an entertaining first half to take a 6-3 lead. Osho opened the second half with a penalty kick goal to cut Barton's lead to 6-4.
Lincoln keeper Andre Wilkinson (St. Michael's, Barbabos/William Grady) finished with 14 saves.
