LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. (October 7, 2008) – Goucher College used 20 service aces to defeat the Lincoln University of Pennsylvania volleyball team, 3-0, Tuesday night at Manuel Rivero Hall. (BOXSCORE)

Goucher (11-14 overall) won the match 25-11, 25-13, 25-23. Lincoln (6-14) scored the first four points of the match and had a 17-9 lead in the third game.

Lincoln senior mass communications major Jordean Matthews (Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) (Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) finished with six digs, three blocks and three kills. Junior mass communications major Noel Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) led Lincoln with four kills. Senior education major Lindsey Wilson (Aliquippa, PA/Aliquippa) (Aliquippa, PA/Aliquippa) had three service aces and sophomore music education major Lia Hubbard (Farrell, PA/Farrell) (Farrell, PA/Farrell) had six assists.

Goucher's leaders were Megan Smith (10 kills), Claire Sauvage-Mar (13 assists and eight service aces). Goucher won the season series, 2-0, and it leads the all-time series, 4-0.

Lincoln's next match will be Thursday evening at Kutztown University beginning at 6:00 p.m.
