LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – May 1, 2026 – The Lincoln University (PA) softball team split a CIAA doubleheader at home against Bluefield State on Friday, falling 8-2 in game one before dropping a competitive 5-2 decision in game two.
Game 1 – Lincoln (PA) 2, Bluefield State 8
Lincoln was limited offensively in the opener, finishing with just three hits and two runs.
Bluefield State created separation late with runs in the sixth and seventh innings. The Lions were able to get on the board but struggled to generate sustained offense throughout the game.
Game 2 – Lincoln (PA) 2, Bluefield State 5
Lincoln responded with a stronger performance in game two, totaling 10 hits and applying pressure at the plate.
The Lions created multiple scoring opportunities but were unable to capitalize in key moments. Bluefield State used a pair of multi-run innings to hold the advantage, while Lincoln continued to battle but could not close the gap late.
