Lions Fall in Road Doubleheader at Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – March 13, 2026 -  The Lincoln University softball team dropped both games of a non-conference doubleheader to Millersville on Friday afternoon at Seaber Stadium.

Game 1: Millersville 8, Lincoln 2

Lincoln jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning as Jordin Cathey (Long Beach, CA/Gahr High School) delivered an RBI double to bring home the opening run. Breylin Gamble (Menifee, CA) followed with an RBI single to give the Lions a 2-0 advantage.

Millersville responded in the second inning with three runs to take the lead and continued to add to its advantage with runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to secure the 8-2 victory.

Cathey and Gamble each recorded a hit and RBI to lead the Lions offensively. Aliya Rose (Lutherville, Md./Maryvale Preperatory) and Hayley Lawson (Laurel, DE) also added hits in the contest.

Game 2: Millersville 12, Lincoln 3

Lincoln responded in game two with a strong second inning, scoring three runs to tie the game. Oaklyn Johnson (Baltimore, MD) recorded an RBI single, while Cici Bullock (Frederick, MD) and Ajah McDowell (Atlanta, GA/Druid Hills High School) each drove in a run to even the score at 3-3.

Millersville answered in the bottom of the third with a seven-run inning and added another run in the fourth to pull away for the 12-3 win.

Johnson, McDowell, and Ashley Stringer (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville High School) each recorded hits in the game, while Bullock and McDowell added RBIs.
