Atlanta, GA – February 25, 2026 – The Lincoln University (PA) baseball team faced a tough battle on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Clark Atlanta University in a hard-fought 9-inning contest, 10-5. The loss marks the first of the season for the Lions, moving their record to 2-1.
Lincoln 5, Clark Atlanta 10
Lincoln got off to a fast start offensively, with Sean Stoney (Rosedale, NY/Archbishop Molloy HS) opening the scoring in the first inning with a solo home run. In the third inning, Jaden Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) added a run with a sacrifice fly, followed shortly by an RBI from Isaiah Tinsley-Cobbs to give the Lions an early lead. After a few quiet innings, Keith Gardner (Franklinton, NC/South Granville HS) drove in a run in the seventh, and Stoney contributed another RBI in the ninth to keep Lincoln in contention.
Clark Atlanta responded with consistent hitting and strategic plays, including bunts that caused defensive errors and maintained pressure on the Lions. Dennis Flores (Manchester, CT) worked to control the strike zone on the mound, but Clark's ability to put the ball in play ultimately proved decisive. After five strong innings, the ball was handed to Isaiah Negron (Merion Station, PA/Lower Merion HS), who pitched two solid frames before critical mistakes allowed Clark to extend their lead.
The Lions' struggles came down to strikeouts and defensive miscommunication, which Clark capitalized on to secure the win. Lincoln will travel to Kutztown, PA on March 4, 2026, to face Kutztown University with hopes of regaining momentum.
