Lincoln Women’s Soccer Hosts Wilmington, Travels to Post for CACC Matchups

10/13/2026 11:00:00 AM

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — The Lincoln University women's soccer team continues Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play this week, hosting Wilmington University on Wednesday, October 14, before traveling to Post University on Saturday, October 17.

Wednesday's kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at LU Athletics Stadium. Saturday's match begins at 1 p.m. at LaMoy Field in Waterbury, Connecticut. The two contests give the Lions another opportunity to earn conference points as the regular season enters its final stretch.

Last Time Out
Lincoln is looking to regroup following a 5–0 setback against Bridgeport on October 10. Aleisa Clarke (Smyrna, DE) and Jordan Allison (Baltimore, MD) each played the full 90 minutes, while Kamaria Wright (Red Lion, PA) logged 86 minutes. Nevaeh Washington (Philadelphia, PA) recorded two first-half saves, and Lincoln's goalkeepers combined for three saves against the Purple Knights.

This week, the Lions will look to maintain their defensive organization while connecting passes through midfield and creating more opportunities in the attacking third. Limiting early scoring chances and capitalizing on possession will be priorities in both matchups.

Scouting Wilmington
Wilmington has demonstrated its ability to generate offense from multiple players. In a 5–0 conference victory over Post on September 19, Amelia Aquino and Quinne Ansley scored twice apiece, while Braelyn Jalayer added a goal. Maria Leguizamon assisted on the Wildcats' first two goals, helping Wilmington establish a three-goal advantage within the opening 18 minutes.

The Wildcats finished that match with a 20–8 advantage in shots and allowed only two shots on goal. Aquino, Ansley and Jalayer are attacking threats to watch, while Leguizamon's distribution provides another challenge for Lincoln's defense. The Lions will aim to disrupt those connections, protect the space behind their back line and build sustained possessions of their own.

Scouting Post
Post enters the week seeking its first victory after falling 5–2 at Goldey-Beacom on October 10. The Eagles will host Bridgeport on Wednesday before welcoming Lincoln on Saturday.

Lindsay Kin and Alissa Rainon provided the Eagles' scoring against Goldey-Beacom. Kin scored a first-half equalizer off an assist from Rainon, who later added her first goal of the season in the 78th minute. Goalkeeper Celine Gubser played the full match and recorded nine saves.

Lincoln will look to limit Rainon's influence as both a scorer and distributor while creating consistent pressure on Post's defense. Finishing chances and remaining alert during transitions will be key as the Lions pursue a road result.

What's Next
Following Saturday's contest, Lincoln travels to Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday, October 20, for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Lions then return home to host Dominican University of New York on Friday, October 23, at noon for their Senior and Faculty/Staff Recognition game.
