LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University (PA) women's soccer team fell 5–0 to the University of Bridgeport in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action Saturday afternoon at LU Athletics Stadium.
The Purple Knights scored twice in the opening half before adding three goals after halftime. Solstice Binder led Bridgeport with two goals, while Jana Mueller, Georgia Dean and Tayna Queiroz each scored once.
Nevaeh Washington (Philadelphia, PA) recorded two saves during the first 45 minutes for Lincoln.
Nicole Lilja (Lanham, MD) and Athenna Burnett Burnett also saw time in goal, with Burnett adding one save. The Lions finished with three saves against eight Bridgeport shots on goal.
Aleisa Clarke (Smyrna, DE) and
Jordan Allison (Baltimore, MD) each played the full 90 minutes, while
Kamaria Wright (Red Lion, PA) logged 86 minutes for Lincoln. Bridgeport finished with 17 shots and four corner kicks, holding the Lions without a shot.
Lincoln moves to 0–8–3 overall and 0–5–1 in conference play.
The Lions return to LU Athletics Stadium on Wednesday, October 14, to host Wilmington University in another CACC matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
