Lincoln University, PA – January 28,2026 - Lincoln University women's soccer student-athlete
Lourraine De Luna (Houston, TX) has been selected to participate in the CIAA Global Internship with Team Jamaica Bickle at the 2026 Penn Relays, marking a major academic and professional achievement.
De Luna was chosen based on the strength of her application, particularly her writing and her ability to connect her health science major to the mission and impact of the internship. The program provides students with hands-on experience supporting international athletes while gaining exposure to large-scale event operations and sports medicine-related environments.
The internship will take place from April 22–26, 2026, and includes full coverage of round-trip travel, lodging, ground transportation, and meals. Participants will work directly with Team Jamaica Bickle, an organization nationally recognized for its dedication to athlete support and community service at the Penn Relays.
"I'm incredibly grateful to have been selected for the CIAA Global Internship with Team Jamaica Bickle at the Penn Relays," De Luna said. "This is my first internship, so it truly means a lot to me. I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and apply my health science major in a real and meaningful way."
As a student-athlete, De Luna continues to excel both on the field and in the classroom, representing the balance of academic excellence and athletic commitment that defines Lincoln University Athletics. Her selection highlights her dedication to her sport, her academic discipline, and her passion for gaining real-world experience in the health sciences field.
Her achievement reflects Lincoln University's continued commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who are prepared to succeed both during their collegiate careers and beyond.
